Microsoft's decision to stop supporting visual basic for the 2008 version of office on Macs was a really bad move. One which they now recognize as the next version of office for Macs will bring visual basic back in. Sadly this means that, as far as I understand, no bibliographic tool offers a plugin for word 2008. As for Web of Science, they are constantly tinkering with their interface. If you can post some searches that turn up pages that don't work for you in the Zotero forums there is a good chance that the devs can find a fix in short order.
